A logging while drilling (LWD) tool, the MagTrak by Baker Hughes - INTEQ is a winner of the 2008 OTC Spotlight on New Technology Awards.
Differing magnetic resonance answer products, such as formation porosity, bound fluid volume, free fluid volume, permeability, hydrocarbon detection, and T1 and T2 distribution spectrums, the MagTrak does not depend on formation lithology nor does it require a radioactive source.

A 6 3/4-inch collar-based tool, the MagTrak can be used in borehole diameters of 8 3/8 to 9 7/8 inches. Equipped with the AutoTrak steerable system, the MagTrak delivers real-time T2 distributions and advanced answer products while drilling. Obtaining high-quality data while drilling, the MagTrak empowers engineers to make the best decisions for well-site efficiency and hydrocarbon recovery.
Baker Hughes - INTEQ provides the oil and gas industry with drilling technologies and services, such as directional drilling, measurement while drilling (MWD), LWD, coring systems and well-site information management systems.
